Talentime

Han rates: Hmm.....10/10 (Because it made feel like watching it twice!)

Yasmind Ahmad's latest work (her 6th one I think) Talentime hits the screens. Too bad I didn't get free tickets to watch this >_<
But anyways even though I paid for it, I thought it was worth every single penny.

I wouldn't call this film revolutionary or mind blowing, but it's definately a good movie. Yasmind always have this thing of using fresh talents but bringing out the best of them.

Talentime starts of with this school organizing it's 7th Annual Talentime competition. Heading the event is Cikgu Adibah (played by the famous Adibah Noor). As the story goes on it starts to focus on the indivual participants such as Melur and Haifz. It also slowly develops around the relationship of Melur and this Indian guy, Mahesh, whos in charge of fetching her to the rehersals. I won't reveal much as I really think you should watch this one unfold yourself.

It's beautiful movie. And I'm glad she's focusing on the Muhibah-thing (maybe abit too much) but I guess this country wouldn't mind a little bit more love. Pete Teoh does more of the music score for this film, which provides it a unique feel compare to Yasmin's previous movies who weren't really music heavy.

plus Pamela looks sweet :D

Ok... maybe not in this pic, but do check her out in the movie :D

And the jokes were pretty good. Thanks to Harith Iskandar and the "Gay" teachers, haha...Seriously I think I enjoyed this more then Confession of A Shopaholic =P

so nuf said. Enjoy the videos

And you may check out the making of here

Best quote of the movie-
Harith: Life is like a black man's left testicle, it's not right... and it's not fair
